Resilient Mounted Ceiling

he resilient ceiling board supplied and installed was tested according to requirements as laid down ASTM E90-90: Standard Test Method for Laboratory Measurement of Airborne Sound Transmission Loss of Building Partitions.

The test panels were erected in the Acoustic Laboratory of the Department of Mechanical and Production Engineering, National University of Singapore.

The resilient mount ceiling panels tested is 595mm X 1195mm X 62mm thick fibrous plasterglass panel. The 62mm thickness comprises 12mm thick slotted perforated panel, 25mm thick, 48 kg/m3 density fiberglass insulatin and two layers of 13mm fibrous plasterglass board. The size of the perforated slot is 6mm X 26mm. Resilient ceiling boards are placed on grid module of 600mm X 1200mm. Ceiling grid is 50mm X 50mm X 6mm thick galvanised steel main and cross T-bars and wall angles.
